Known for its booming tech industry, San Jose, California is the center of Silicon Valley. Located at the south end of the San Francisco Bay, this warm city is home to many large technology headquarters. Even if you find yourself in Palo Alto or Fremont, San Jose is a great city to spend some time in after work.

How to Get to San Jose, CA
The most convenient way to get to Silicon Valley is to fly into San Jose International Airport (SJC), which is located in the city and only ten minutes from downtown. Additionally, you can fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland International Airport (OAK). Depending on traffic and rush hour, each of these airports are 45 minutes to an hour and a half way away from San Jose.
The easiest way to get around San Jose is by car, but there are also public transportation options available. The VTA light rail system serves the downtown area, and there are also plenty of rideshare options like Lyft and Uber.

San Pedro Square Market // Offering a variety of restaurants and bars, San Pedro Square Market is a great place to take the team. With plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, this food court style establishments makes it easy for everyone to get something they’d like.
Santana Row // This upscale restaurant area is near the Winchester Mystery House and offers many kinds of restaurants for your team to choose from. With free parking garages close-by, you will likely find your team visiting this area many times while in San Jose.
Willow Glen // Another neighborhood with nice restaurants, consider visiting The Table, Willow Street Pizza & Taproom, or Tarah Thai Kitchen for a delicious meal.
Falafel Drive-In // This drive-in restaurant is a San Jose classic, serving up delicious falafel, gyros, and shakes since 1966. Try the banana shake with your pita!

Things to Do in San Jose, CA at Night
Catch a Sharks game at SAP Center // Hockey fans won’t want to miss a chance to see the San Jose Sharks in action. Games usually start at 7:00 pm, giving you plenty of time to grab dinner beforehand.
Explore the Tech Museum of Innovation // This hands-on science museum is open until 6:00 pm on weekdays and offers plenty of interactive exhibits and activities for all ages.
Take a sunset hike in Alum Rock Park // With stunning views of the city skyline and the Santa Clara Valley, Alum Rock Park is a great spot for a post-work hike. Trails close at sunset, so be sure to start early enough to catch the view.
Drive by historical garages // Interested to see where Apple, HP, or Google were founded? With your rental car, you can drive by famous Silicon Valley garages. Keep in mind that many of these homes are still occupied, so be respectful if you’re visiting these neighborhoods.
Catch a movie at the drive-in theater // West Wind Capitol Drive-in plays movies throughout the week. With general admission tickets being $9, or $6 on Tuesdays, you can catch the latest films from the comfort of your rental car.
Another great view of the city can be found at the top of Communication Hill. Drive to the top to see the entire valley before heading to dinner with your team.
