Lake Eola is a local favorite in Downtown Orlando. The lake has a beautiful fountain that lights up at night. There are several restaurants and bars all around the lake, or simple stroll around the lake and enjoy the balmy Orlando evening.
Church Street is another popular destination in Downtown Orlando. Church Street offers several restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance of each other, so you can pop in and out of different spots and find the ideal ambiance for your mood.
Just a few blocks easy walking distance from the Church Street area is another popular spot for gathering and drinks…Wall Street. Locals flock to Wall Street to watch a game, or just enjoy music and friends.
For stunning views of Downtown Orlando, dress to impress and head up to One80 Grey Goose Lounge. This hotspot is super swanky, offers delicious cocktails and the view is unbeatable!
Tourist Areas
Most conventions and business trips to Orlando will put you right in the heart of the tourist district. All-encompassing of Universal Studios, Sea World, The Convention Center, I Drive and Disney World, there are several great spots near these iconic locations that still offer great options late into the evening.
Pointe Orlando is a great location for a sampling of anything and everything! Bars and restaurants with almost every type of cuisine preference, a movie theater, comedy club, laser tag and shopping all in one posh spot. Many of the restaurants offer live music in the evening. Lafayette’s hosts Louisiana classic dishes and local musicians, and directly across the way is the charming Itta Bena for a more elegant dining experience with live piano music.
For dancing, a few popular hotspots for tourists and locals alike is either BB Kings, Cuba Libre or Blue Martini. Not far up the street from Pointe Orlando is one of my favorite restaurants, Café Tu Tu Tango. They have artists painting or sculpting on location while you eat, sometimes they even have a belly dancer!
Universal Studios offers a fabulous nightlife scene at City Walk. Not inside either theme park, so no admission is required other then occasional night club entrance fees at the door. City Walk has restaurants and bars for dancing, karaoke or just hanging out with friends, and since it has an open container ordinance, you can grab your drink and keep on exploring all the places around City Walk.
Restaurant Row
Not far from Universal Studios or Sea World is a popular local destination known as Restaurant Row in the Dr Phillips neighborhood of Orlando. One of the most popular hot spots is Rocco’s Tacos for great music, tequila and more tequila and of course tacos! Tuesday evenings are usually packed at Rocco’s. Who doesn’t love a fun atmosphere for Taco Tuesday!?
For something a little more intimate, The Pharmacy is a secret spot hidden behind an unmarked elevator door. Strong elixirs and delicious food is guaranteed at The Pharmacy, it is definitely worth searching for! The Pharmacy isn’t usually open too late, so this is a great place to start your evening if you are on this side of town.
The Whiskey is another popular swanky spot Orlando locals like to visit. Try amazing burgers and choose from hundreds of coveted Whiskey labels!
