Inman Park is located approximately 2 miles east of downtown Atlanta. While being an “intown” neighborhood, it is commonly known as Atlanta’s first suburb and more recently known for being in the heart of the Atlanta Beltline.
How to Get to Inman Park, Atlanta
Once you are in Atlanta, the easiest route to Inman Park would be taking Marta to the Inman Park/Reynoldstown station on the Blue/Green line. If you aren’t close to a Marta station, take rideshare as parking can be limited and expensive once you find it.
Inman Park is easily walkable from one end to the other.
Where to Eat in Inman Park, Atlanta
Rathbun’s Steak // Want one of the best steaks in Atlanta? Rathbun’s is known for the prime cut steaks but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. For sides, don’t miss the Jalapeno Creamed Corn as it is a signature dish.
Boccaluppo // Located in the residential area of Inman Park you are likely to meet up with residents of the area. Everything is delicious here but the best thing on the menu is Southern Fried Chicken Parm served with creamy collards and fusilli.
Nina & Rafi’s // Situated on the Atlanta Beltline, Nina & Rafi’s offers a nice patio of people watching. Any of the pizzas are paired well a starters and salads which are big enough for 2-4 people to share. Only going to visit once? The pizzas are highly recommended.
Barcelona // In the heart of Inman Park, Barcelona serves Spanish style tapas along with a fine selection of wines and cocktails.
Victory Sandwich Bar // Right off the Dekalb Path, Victory is a popular spot for locals looking for a nice patio, good drinks and food. Their specialties are small sandwiches with locals’ favorites being the Tea Bird (if you like spicy) and the Castro. Don’t miss one of their spiked sodas!
What to Do in Inman Park, Atlanta
Explore the Beltline // This is the #1 thing to do or see if visiting Inman Park. The Beltline is 3-miles of multiuse trail running through Inman Park. First stop should be Krog Street tunnel to see unique, always-changing street art. There are also several restaurants and bars along the way.
Wrecking Bar Brewpub // Located in a Victorian building which was at one time a church, a home and many other things, Wrecking Bar is a crafter of local beer. Stop in for a drink or food – while known for their beer, the food is equally as good.
Bar Taco // A great place for drinks and food but on Thursday nights, they host local music. Sit outside and enjoy some fresh air and live music.
Dad’s Garage // Technically, Dad’s Garage is in Old Fourth Ward as Inman Park’s neighbor. But, it is close enough to suggest catching a comedy show when in town. Most shows are improv, but they do have an occasion choreographed show.
Patio at Barcelona // Any night is a great night to hang on the patio. If it is too cold, they will be sure to have the heat lamps and fire going.
Inman Park is also a popular location for movie and TV show filming. When visiting Atlanta, be sure to watch for any familiar faces!
